Perfect spot by the beach!! 10 out of 10 recommend!! We decided to take a 5 minute drive over to St Malo Beach Cove both at night and in the morning before we left. The bedding was superb!! Literally joked about how and where do we find the pillows because they are sooo comfortable!!

As described, this is essentially a very nice standard hotel room without the hotel vibe. The property and unit look brand new, with welcome outdoor seating and plenty of lighting, digital door locks, double-pane windows did a good job of minimizing the adjacent street noise, a mini-split AC/heater with remote, a small fridge and a good size TV. Bathroom was immaculate with plenty of toiletries provided. Bed was a bit firm for me but that's personal preference. I just stayed the night as I had an early meeting the next morning so didn't really settle in, but it was by far better than hotels along the railroad tracks. Only complaint would be parking: I know it was stated clearly in the description that it's first come first served, but after arriving at 4pm with most spots open, I went out to dinner for a few hours and came back to zero parking available and had to park across the street - there aren't enough spaces to accommodate a single vehicle for every unit. I found that annoying.

You’re absolutely right about the parking, and I appreciate you calling that out. While parking is first come, first served and clearly noted in the listing, we understand how frustrating it can be to return and find no on-site spots available. To address this, we are actively in the process of adding additional parking spaces to better accommodate guests.
In the meantime, parking across the street, including the bike shop lot, is an approved alternative when on-site spots are full. We know it’s not ideal, but it does provide a reliable backup option.

Perfect accommodations for a couple or solo travelers. Quiet, easy access, and free parking (limited spaces). The common areas have plenty of space to relax and a warm fire pit! Room was perfect, shower had great pressure and was hot! The little kitchenette is a cherry on top! Will definitely be staying again!

I loved my quick, one-night stay. Easy to check in and out. I stayed in unit #2, which had a small closet area (bar with hangers, space to put suitcase). I came back later and stayed in two of the other bungalows, neither of which had a closet area. So I think it's worth pointing out that extra feature in #2. Overall, a spotless space. You can hear the shower noise from other units, but other than that my stay was very quiet!

Great place to stay at! Everything was clean, and functioning. Location was great, only a 15 minute walk to the beach, had great food in the surrounding area. We were able to walk almost everywhere we needed to. My only (personal) preference would be some softer pillows😅. Other than that everything was great! Would definitely return!

This was our favorite stay we have experienced in California! Super clean and the host is very friendly, communicative and helpful when needed. The location and price is amazing. You are a 1 minute drive, IF that to Carlsbad Village, which has great restaurants and some cool shops! Not to mention your close access to the beach. I love that they have the outdoor community seating with fire pits too. No one was ever loud and everyone kept the premises clean. We cannot wait to stay here again!

This was a beautiful and comfortable stay. I would recommend it to others.
However. Only negative is the request for an additional $75 as pet fee is not included in the total price even when pet is disclosed in guest count. Follow up includes threat of $500 for not calling to make the additional payment. Felt a bit outrageous for a one-night stay where we were already paying 2-3 times the usual rate.
Desk agent made it make sense for us, but something to watch.
